Neon Llama Chaos
A self-contained browser arena shooter where Captain Vlam fights escalating waves, collects power-ups and upgrades, dives through portals, and chases a depth-based high score, with its own music and sound.
What it is
Neon Chaos is a browser-based arena shooter. You pilot Captain Vlam through escalating waves of neon enemies, collect power-ups and upgrades, dive through portals between rounds, and chase a high score that climbs the deeper you get.
What began as a quick experiment has grown into a small arcade game with its own music and sound effects, a range of enemy types, and an upgrade system, while staying a self-contained page you can open in any browser.
Technical shape
The game is written as a set of small source files that build into a single self-contained HTML page, so there is nothing to install. The music and sound effects lean on existing open-source audio libraries rather than anything hand-rolled. It all runs in the browser.
Current state
A creative experiment, made for the fun of building it more than for an audience. It is playable online and gets picked up again now and then, so what you see may change from one visit to the next.
